About The Wizard of Oz
Director: Luke Davidson
Choreographer: Katie Cook
This beloved tale, in which a Kansas farm girl travels over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home, has been entertaining audiences for generations. Dorothy and her dog Toto are caught in a tornado's path and somehow end up in the land of Oz. Here she meets some memorable friends and foes in her journey to meet the Wizard of Oz who everyone says can help her return home and possibly grant her new friends their goals of a brain, heart and courage. Musical numbers include favorites “Over The Rainbow,” “Munchkinland (Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead),” “If I Only Had A Brain/A Heart/The Nerve,” and “We’re Off To See The Wizard (Follow The Yellow Brick Road)." Based on the writings of L Frank Baum, this production is an adaptation of the 1939 MGM film classic.
