SUMMER MUSICAL |
In 2011, we'll continue the tradition of bringing a Broadway favorite to southeast Minnesota . . .
Based on the comic strip Little Orphan Annie, the musical Annie came to the Broadway stage in 1977 and ran for six years. During that time, it won seven Tony awards, and four touring companies were launched to take the show to major cities across the U.S. The spunky little 11-year-old redhead lives in Miss Hannigan's miserable orphanage. Her determined optimism, reflected in the signature song "Tomorrow," is rewarded when she's chosen to live for a short time in the home of the wealthy Daddy Warbucks. Charming the household staff and finally even her host, Annie searches for her parents, but the nasty Miss Hannigan is determined to foil those efforts! Plan now to join us for another spectacular display of the talent that resides in southeast Minnesota! Auditions will be open to all ages and to all in the community! Check back after the new year for details!
